Remedial Education

Are you planning to introduce your child to mainstream education? Do you want to know the tricks and tips to teach logical concepts, complicated mathematical problems, and other academic skills? Are you worried that your child hasn’t got the handwriting skills? Is your child lagging in reading and comprehension? Pavithra Palani, Remedial Educator, offers daily 30-minute sessions with your mainstream school curriculum or individualized curriculum, as required.

Occupational Therapy

Does your child have difficulty becoming independent in daily routine or school-based activity? Is your child lagging at school because of reduced motor responses or sensory problems? OT would help your kid to deal with sensory issues, tone down their energy level, improve concentration, and more. We offer OT as a part of our Special School therapy programs.

Yoga Therapy

We offer Yoga as therapy for our special school children. Our certified Yoga therapist offers age-based and skill-based group Yoga classes every day for the holistic development of your child. Studies have proven Yoga to be an excellent way to improve brain function, reduce stress/anxiety/depression, and improve motor skills.

Movement Therapy

Movement or Dance Therapy is a fun way to improve body coordination, listening, group attention, and motor skills. There are also positive correlations between movement therapy and improved cognitive development, reduced behavioral issues, and betterment of social skills. We offer daily Movement Therapy for our Special School children. Movement Therapy is headed by an experienced dance trainer who specializes in both traditional and western dance forms as therapy.

Group Therapy

Therapy comes in several forms; not every therapy has to be done in an isolated location with a one-on-one approach. Group therapy is the best way to improve classroom adaptation, play, and social skills. Group therapies are headed by Dr. Akila Palani or one of the head therapists. Parents are welcome to join or observe the group therapies. Group Therapy is available for both our special school children and therapy-only children.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy is quite similar to Group Therapy. However, in Play Therapy, we focus on group games, introducing board games, turn-taking skills, conflict management, and more. Play Therapy is the best way to overcome your child’s behavior or socialization issues.

Play Therapy is available for our Special School children and therapy-only children. It is headed by Dr. Akila Palani or one of our head trainers. Parents are welcome to join or observe our Play Therapy programs.

Early Intervention Program (0-5 years)

According to studies on several leading early intervention programs, on average,14% of kids enrolled in such programs between 0-3 years show drastic improvement in a short span. The speed and efficiency of any therapy decrease after age 5 (however, development is not impossible after 5).

BRIGHT offers Early Intervention Programs for kids between 0-5 years. Under this, we offer play-based speech, academics, behavioral, and socialization training.

Behavior Therapy

Every behavior is learned and can be re-learned or unlearned. Speech-based Behaviour Therapy helps your children to communicate their feelings and thoughts effectively. Suppressed feelings/thoughts/curiosities lead to unproductive/distracting behaviors.

Dr. Akila Palani heads Behaviour Therapy for our Special School and Therapy-only kids. It is a group therapy (usually in small groups) with programs customized to deal with specific behavioral problems. Parents are welcome to join/observe Behaviour Therapy sessions.

Pre-vocational and Vocational Training

Yes, vocational training focuses on job-based skills. However, understanding practical concepts is the first step in gaining a job-based skill. The pre-vocational and vocational training is a part of our Special School curriculum for older children.

Pavithra Palani and Devi Palani head our training programs, and each child’s training is tuned to suit his/her passion, skill, and understanding level.

Physiotherapy

We offer physiotherapy for children as a need-based therapy. It is available for both our Special School children and Therapy-only kids. An experienced and certified physiotherapist heads this program.
