The trust was founded in September 2007 by M. Palani for the purpose of serving special needs children under financial hardship.

The purpose and objects of the Trust are

1. To impart life oriented needful education and training to the disabled.
2. To make the disabled lead a normal life.
3. To create awareness in the community on the detection rehabilitation and prevention of disabling conditions.
4. To undertake work on the detection of disabling conditions.
5. To establish primary, secondary, and tertiary preventive methods.
6. To impart non-formal and formal education including pre-school training and integrated education.
7. To provide pre-vocational and vocational training.
8. To work on all aspects of vocational rehabilitation.
9. To provide aids, appliances, and maintenance services.
10. To start a marriage bureau for the disabled.
11. To conduct research in areas related to the objectives of the trust.
12. To publish books and periodicals for the welfare of the disabled.
13. To develop and encourage ‘Fine Arts’ of educational value.
14. To do any other act of charitable nature, general public utility and any act for the furtherance of the objects for which the trust is created and to carry out all incidental discrimination of class, creed, and community.
